NOAA/NMFS Right Whale Survey

REPORT:
The Center for Coastal Studies' plane and one plane from the NMFS flew tracklines near Georges Basin and the Northeast Channel. There was one right whale sighted. A second plane from NMFS flew tracklines in the Great South Channel yielding no right whales.

CONCENTRATIONS OF ENDANGERED NORTHERN RIGHT WHALES ARE KNOWN TO BE PRESENT IN CAPE COD BAY. SIGHTINGS HAVE BEEN MADE IN THE AREA BOUNDED BY THE FOLLOWING COORDINATES:
